What we do

Hawthorne Dinners

Each week, we provide a made from scratch, family-style dinner for our participants. This gives them an opportunity to relax in a safe, supportive, environment while ensuring they have a full meal.

All for the cost of a night out

Providing one meal for 30-40 participants costs $175. When you multiply that by 52 weeks, it’s easy to see why our dinners are our biggest financial need.

Backpacks

Without a home or even stable housing, many of our participants are forced to keep their personal belongings with them at all times because they have nowhere to leave them without fear of them being stolen..

More than just a bag

We provide a new, high-quality backpack that is often filled with essentials, like socks, blankets, underwear, and items that help ensure our participants can survive during this difficult time.

Additional Programs

Open Gate programs take place every Sunday. Doors open at 12:30pm.

All our programs take place in the Fellowship Hall of Bering Memorial UMC. The street entrance to our Fellowship Hall is located on Mulberry Street.
